So my Sunday was spent in USS which i find, really tiny to begin with compared to the one in LA that i visited a long time ago. It's not even comparable to Six flags that we went about a year ago! The rides are quite pathetic and you'll probably need a few hours to conquer the entire park.

Not much pictures cause i was kinda lazy to lug around my DSLR. All these were taken with my trusty Iphone. Haha!

Long weekend!

Tomorrow's Good Friday and i've got my whole weekend planned out! Mom will be cooking Meesiam and we'll be having family time at home. Will be heading down for service on Sat and Sun i'll be taking the boyfriend to USS for his early birthday celebration. I pray for good weather! Don't wanna have to end up hiding under shelters or staying indoors.

I've got about a month to chill before my hectic schedule starts and goes on for 5 weeks straight! I'm excited!
Have an awesome-long weekend! (:

So after our meeting in the morning, the girls and i went to Fish & Co for lunch! They're having a really great deal now. For $9.90, you'll be able to get a lunch set which consists of a drink, main course, a dessert and salad, or if you top up $1 you'll be able to change the salad to a bowl of soup which you can see in the picture above. Of course $9.90 is not inclusive of GST + Service charge.

Can't wait for the next meet up! (:

Doggie on the overhead bridge.

Today my pup (Scot) taught me what perseverance is.

I needed to head over to the ATM to withdraw some cash for tomorrow and i decided to take Scot along with me. Although it was just a 0.25km walk from my house to the ATM at the patrol station, i had to take the over head bridge because it was nearer then the traffic light where the pedestrian crossing was.

And you see, i don't usually have time to take Scot for a walk, so his stamina isn't fantastic. He's more of an indoor 'house pup' (if that even make sense). Moreover, he's a tiny dog, about the size of arm (from my fingers to my elbow).

So it was a big deal for him to climb the never ending flight of steps on the over head bridge. He was tired and panting like crazy but he never stopped. Even when it got more and more difficult and tiring, he took a step at a time and every few steps that he took, he would look back to make sure that i was right behind him!

And i thought to myself, gosh, i ought to be ashamed of myself for giving up so easily whenever situations or problems arises! I mean, Scot could have given up and just sat there on the ground, refusing to move so that leaves me no choice but to carry him. But no, he went on and on till he reached the top!

Life's like that at times. Instead of giving up, maybe we should just push forward and press on. I know, it's easier said then done but we could at least try right?

If you don't know, JB & his girlfriend Selena's in Singapore for his concert.

And because of this, all the crazy ass girls are skipping school to prepare for his concert tonight which i think is ridiculous. Btw, don't you think Selena looks a tad bit old for JB?

Still don't get why girls would wanna date guys that are younger then them.
Geez!

There is a very crucial decision that i've gotta make tomorrow during a meeting. It will change my lifestyle for the next 2 years or so and idk if i'm ready for it.

What i do know is that whatever my decision may be, the people around me will support the choice that i've made. And i hope that through this decision, that i may grow as a person.

How was the weekends for you guys? I've been procrastinating for the longest time ever to do this entry because i'm lazy like that. TEEHEE!

I've been lacking of sleep for the past week. Not because i'm so busy and pre-occupied with stuff, but because i sleep and wake up at odd hours! I head to bed, way past midnight and get up at 5 in the morning because all of the sudden my body feels that it has gotten enough rest. This is ridiculous!

On Friday, i had this lingering pain that started from my appendix area and it shifted to my back, where the kidneys are located. For 2-3 hours, whatever i did didn't help. Tried to sit, stand, lie in various positions and look for a comfortable spot to ease the pain but nothing helped! Had to end up taking a very strong pain killer that i got from the States (which i'll usually take during my period to help with my intense cramps), and it worked! And no you can't get the pills here in Singapore but u can get them at the various drug stores, off the shelves in US.

Sometimes i feel that for someone who's only 21, i feel like i'm in a body of someone who's at least 35. Gawd!

My apologies for lack of entries, been pretty busy these few days. Still in the midst of making a few really important decisions that will affect me for the next few years.

Will probably do a proper entry during the weekends, i promise! (:

60% says no, 30% says yes, 10% says maybe.

So what would you do if you're in my position?

You're from a whole other world
A different dimension
You open my eyes

Hall Pass.

On Sat, the boyfriend and decided to catch 'Hall Pass'.

Best buddies Rick and Fred (Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis) have both been married for a long time. They love their wives, but, like some guys, just can’t help checking out every other woman who crosses their paths.
Fed up with this habitual rubber-necking, their wives (
Jenna Fischer andChristina Applegate) take a bold approach to revitalize their marriages by granting their husbands a “hall pass”: one week of freedom to do whatever they want, no questions asked. Seven days to see exactly what it is out there they think they’re missing…or stop looking once and for all.
At first, it sounds like a dream come true for Rick and Fred. But they quickly discover that their expectations of the single life—and themselves—are completely and hilariously out of sync with reality.
A new comedy from the Farrelly brothers, “Hall Pass” stars Owen Wilsonas Rick and Jason Sudeikis as Fred. Jenna Fischer stars as Rick’s wife, Maggie; Richard Jenkins as the guys’ old friend and perpetual bachelor, Coakley; and Christina Applegate as Fred’s wife, Grace.

I would give it 3.5/5. I kinda like the movie because it saves me the hassle of trying to explain to the boyfriend as to why us girls, do not like our boyfriends secretly checking out other chicks. In reality, all the guys are the same. Whether or not they're faithful as hell, geeky or nerdy, it's kinda inbuilt in them to do it. Idk why, but i guess thats how they're wired. Haha!

No but seriously, so what if you get to check out girls out, does it give you guys a sense of accomplishment or satisfaction? Like hello?! Don't tell me, 'we look only what'! Wtf is 'we look only'. Since you've decided to settle down or get committed in a relationship, shouldn't you umm at least try to keep your eyes to the one that you've chosen to spend your time and money on?

So are you trying to tell me that watching porn is the same concept (for those sick perverts out there)? Cause you only get to see but not touch right? WRONGGGGGGG! An action is the by-product of sight. If you let yourself be tempted in that way, the next thing you know, you're on the fast track to destruction.

Why would you want to destroy the relationship that you've invested everything you got? Because of greed? It just doesn't make sense!

"Infidelity is a choice that you make, to destroy not only your soul, but the one you've loved deeply before."

Think about it.

LOVE.

Really enjoyed service this week. Pastor was preaching about Love and it got me thinking.

Love is probably one of, if not, the strongest emotion that we can experience. Everything is driven by it. The reason why we still exist today because God chose to Love. Marriages/Relationships last because two people chose to love, despite their differences. Love drives you to do things that you've never imagined yourself accomplishing. With Love comes Peace, Joy and Faith. I don't know about you, but every time i choose to Love, i feel happier on the inside. It's like a seed of happiness and positivity is being planted in me. And it's pretty contagious. (:

Try Loving, you'll probably get hooked on it!

Have a blessed weekend!

Bored like that.

My tummy's been giving me issues for the past week or so. It's either i'll be having diarrhea, else it's constipation, nothing normal, nothing in-between. Wait, i think i'm giving you guys way too much explicit content over here. Hah!

Actually it's kind more serious then that. Kinda scares the shit outta me! So i'll be heading down to the doctor later and hopefully it's nothing serious. For sure they're gonna run some test and stuff. We'll see.

Skin food.

For the longest time ever, i've been struggling, trying to keep my 'very mild acne' under control, but i can't seem to find the suitable product for my VERY SENSITIVE skin. And it got to the point whereby i couldn't stand looking at myself in the mirror anymore because it was depressing (yes i am picky like that). So i decided to go ahead and visit a dermatologist and eventually my skin cleared up after taking some medication to control my oil glands. The next issue was to look for a moisturizer routine for my skin and finally i found one which works wonders!

The Lancome Genifique Serum!

It's retailing for SGD$200 for a 50ml bottle. Really pricey but to me, it's money well spent!

Taken from the Lancome website:
Our first skincare that boosts the activity of genes1 and stimulates the production of youth proteins2. A true skincare innovation with 7 worldwide patents pending, Génifique is the foundation of every woman’s skincare at any age or for any skin concern.

1In-vitro test on genes.
2Clinical study on skin proteins associated with young skin – France.

Result:
Visibly younger skin in just 7 days. Skin looks as if lit from within – breathtaking radiant. Its youthful quality returns: cushiony soft and velvety to the touch. Drop by drop, skin is vibrant with youth, its tone becomes astonishingly even, its texture dramatically refined.

For me, it helps to even out the texture of my skin, soften it and acts like a moisturizer. Miraculously, it also helps to clear up whatever pimple/blemishes that i've got. Here's a tip, for people who has generally combination/oily skin, start using serums instead of the cream based moisturizer. But on top of this serum, i do layer on my Loreal Hydrafresh gel based moisturizer as well.

And because my skin is so stubborn-ly (if that even make sense, haha) complicated, i've to slap on a facial mask every other day just to try to balance out the whole thing. For that, i used the 'Origins Out Of Trouble' mask.

This is retailing for SGD$50.

I realized that if i use this every other day or alternate days, my skin would be pretty well behaved.

WHY IS IT SO TEDIOUS TO BE A GIRL?!

Simple things in life.

And it's true hard times, that love exist even more.

Heard many youtube guru's raving about the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil so i've decided to try it out! Fortunately,  mum was shopping online on Gmarket the other day so she ordered a cream blush, lipstick and this for me. I don't have pictures of the other 2 items because they've yet to arrive.

Jumbo pencil in 'Milk'. They have tons of other colours as well if you're wondering!

Here's a swatch of it. See how pigmented it is and i was barely pressing it on my skin.

And here's a picture of the VS bag that i got for free after spending more then USD$100 i think. It's part of the promo. Makes a fantastic beach/gym bag! Btw, i'm not sure if this is just an in-store promo or it's applicable to online as well.

How could anyone resist leopard 'preens' and it's in hot pink! HAHA!

So, my weekend hasn't been THAT fantastic. It if were on a scale of 1-10, it'll probably be a 6.5 ish. Spent my Sat at Ikea and Courts, looking out for furniture, electrical appliances and ideas for my new room. I kinda have an idea of how i would want my my room to turn out more or less. It's gonna be very very classy, gonna play with metallic embossed wallpaper, the lamp for my side-table will be from this show room that supplies to the major 5 & 6 star hotels in Singapore (not gonna reveal where is it located at though, hehe), leather bed frame with a Sealy bed which i've been wanting since forever, a chandelier, heavy thick curtains, you get my drift don't you?

Something like that! This was taken at MBS, where we spent our Christmas last year.
Ahhhhhhh, can't wait!!

So why do i even bother updating this space?

ANYWAYYYYYYYYYYYZZZZZZ, i've been in a dilemma for the longest time ever. With regards to the fact if i should go ahead and pursue my double degree or continue working. Well, of course if i had all the money in the world, i'll probably study all the way and get a PhD. Did a calculation, if i were to study non stop for the next, what, lets say 8-10 years? I would be a doctor before the age of 30.

And there's just too many things that are going on now, i need to sort my life out. The next major headache will be designing my new room. Yes, i'll be shifting out of Sengkeng after 11 years. I've got about 3 months to go before we'll shift over to the new place! Mad excited because it'll be the first time i get to design my own room!

Where do i even begin?

You are loved
Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world.
